xaman We source ash, maple and Spanish cedar for solid shafts. Each handle is turned, sanded and french-polished by hand. No hollow plastic — only natural woods that age gracefully.
Canopy craftsmanship
190-thread count pongee, recycled PET microweave or premium silk-blend. Each panel is cut, double-stitched and treated with hydrophobic nano-coating for instant water beading.
Hardware engineering
Nickel-plated steel ribs, fibreglass reinforced stretchers, and a self-opening mechanism with polished brass springs. Our automatic system deploys in 0.4 seconds — silent, smooth, solid.

Every umbrella undergoes 23 quality checks — from spring tension to fabric shrinkage under extreme rain simulation.
Sustainability & ethics
We are a plastic-negative workshop. All packaging is biodegradable, and we recycle broken umbrella parts into new composite components. Our wood suppliers follow FSC-certified standards, and we repurpose offcuts into small accessories. In 2023, we repaired 2,340 umbrellas — saving them from landfills. Circular by design.

The workshop
Our atelier operates with 12 master craftspeople, each specialised in a unique step: from the metalworker who hand-cuts spring housings to the seamstress who double-locks each rib pocket. We welcome visitors for guided tours every Thursday (by appointment only).
